Pear picking
The Medford stake has the only pear farm in the church. There is a two week window in which all the pears must be picked. This makes up about 82,000 bushels of pears. We've had a bumper crop this year (the Lord is truly blessing us). The missionaries, the stake, and other volunteers are working night and day to get these picked. This machine moves slowly down the row and workers on either side pick as fast as they can. They wear the bushels around their necks.
