Arrival of new missionaries July 2014

These are the first of many new missionaries to arrive into the mission during our service to the Lord.

Elders Kwok and Huang, our Eugene Chinese elders, are shown in their Addias attire that our elders wore as they did service at the World Junior Track Meet (first time in USA) held at Hayward Field, Eugene. The sisters wore skirts and white polo shirts. More pictures will be coming.

On July 17th we welcomed these new arrivals from the MTC to the Oregon Eugene Mission. They are pictured here ( their names are underlined) with their trainer/companions. What wonderful young men and women. Thank you so much for sharing them with us. We love them already !

The current zone leaders and Sister training leaders.
We had our first MLC (mission leadership council) on Tuesday the 8th of July.  We have the best missionaries in the world, because the OEM is the best mission n the world.

A new era in OEM begins

 A New Era for the OEM begins.  On June 28, 2014 President & Sister Young after 3 years of service pause for a picture.  President & Sister Russell rejoice in the opportunity to serve the Lord, the missionaries, the members, and all the non-members in the mission.

As parting took place hugs were exchanged and tears shed.  As they loved all the missionaries so do we.  It has only been 10 days and it has been confirmed again that this is the best mission on the earth.  We are looking forward to getting to know all of the missionaries as we would our own children. Our first week was filled with many expression of love as each.  At the beginning of each Zone meeting the missionaries were sing to us.  Needless to say we both went through a lot of Kleenex and our handkerchiefs were moist.

We felt the strong Spirit of Lord and we are so excited to begin teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ shoulder to shoulder with our missionaries.
